the passing of
time the Thai consumer behavior changed and
rather than buying in sacks, people favored
buying in 5Kgs plastic bags from supermarkets
and retail outlets. To cater to the new demand,
the Company set up another rice mill in 1987
primarily to better the quality and package
rice in smaller consumer packs of 5Kgs.
..........At
the new factory the
raw rice was segregated according to quality
and grain size and with the removal of all impurities.,
it was processed through machines and graded.
The Company was the first to package rice in
the Five - Kilogram plastic bags with die cut
handles for easy handling. For the contributions
made by the company to design and introduce
innovative packaging, The Ministry of Science,
Technology and Environment has bestowed an award
for outstanding packaging of an Agricultural
Product.

Company growth
has been rapid and steady and after successfully
establishing several popular brands in the Domestic
market, the Administrative Board decided to introduce
their rice to the International market. In 1995,
with a view to step up sales in the export market
another completely automatic and computerised
Mill was set up with a capacity to produce over
250,000 Metric Tons annually. |
